Jean Hasse

An American-born composer, pianist and teacher living in England, Jean scores music for the concert hall, for films, silent films, and also accompanies silent films. She composes for special events, websites, and all instruments and ensemble combinations, sometimes with unusual "instruments" (mobile phones, percussion-type objects, audiences whistling). Performances and broadcasts have been world-wide. Her style/sound can be quirky and jazzy, as well as introspective. Jean is also a music editor and copyist and does score preparation work for films, composers and publishers. - Read full biography

David Matthews

An English composer writing large orchestral and choral works, string quartets and chamber pieces, along with solos for many instruments, David has also written for films and had pieces played, recorded and broadcast world-wide. His music is often melodic and contrapuntal, but can have other-worldly sounds, too, expanding the usual ranges and textures of instruments. The VM catalogue includes some of his chamber and orchestral arrangements of music by Beethoven, Chabrier, Delius, Liszt… and the Beach Boys.. - Read Full Biography

Norman Worrall

Coming from a background of behavioural sciences, the late Norman Worrall was an English composer and arranger working with music production software. This approach allowed music to be recorded directly to cd/dvd or taken through to score preparation for live performance. Typically his music takes the form of large-scale soundscapes, both abstract and in support of moving images. He was also active as a film-maker.
